Letter to the Guardian re Ed Pilkington's 19 May article "US nuclear talks risk collapse over Middle East plan"

Sir,

Re Ed Pilkington's 19 May article "US nuclear talks risk collapse over Middle East plan", the author writes "Failure to achieve any positive outcome would be a serious blow to the credibility of the international community's efforts to deal with pressing nuclear problems, particularly in regards to Iran."

Perhaps Ed Pilkington could enlighten us readers as to exactly who he means when he uses the term 'international community'? Does he mean that Turkey and Brazil and the rest of the 118 countries that make up the Non-Aligned Movement and who support Iran's right to a peaceful nuclear program do not form part of that 'international community'? Isn't it about time journalists stopped using politicians' language to refer to the US and its poodles?

Yours Sincerely,
